We are back on the road again! If you remember parts one and two took place in Mill Valley. So back in the car we go to finish our day trip through Marin County.
It’s amazing all the things you can do in one glorious day with a friend at your side, the sun on your back and the wind in your hair.

THE MYSTERIOUS “PEACE BARN”
Rumor has it the peace sign has glowed blue every night since the day President Bush declared war on Iraq. It is said that those who want to host an event at the barn must donate a minimum of $10,000 to a local charity. The property is owned by Susie and Mark Buell. Susie Buell is founder of Esprit clothing.
Good luck finding a lick of information on this heavenly site. My girlfriend was fortunate enough to have been to a soiree here and get this, Alice Waters was on site cooking. That was all I needed to hear to get my imagination flowing.
Can’t you just picture it ?

WELCOME TO NICK’S COVE * TOMALES BAY
Let me tell you right now, this place is just plain wonderful ! My girlfriend Ev told me about this place ages ago and I have always wanted to visit. When I found out that we were having dinner here I was thrilled ! At Nick’s you get the whole enchilada ! For starters, there are twelve guest cottages, five are waterfront and seven have a water view (the waterview cottages are located across the street). They are a tad rustic but well appointed and charming as can be. Depending on the cottage you select you can sleep two-six people. To top it off they have a lovely restaurant with wonderful food, right on the water, with a private little dock. There is a little room at the end of the dock with a patio that you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere and even bring your own wine to drink. They don’t have restaurant service on the dock but they will light the little stove for heat if you need it. The staff is friendly and helpful and like I said, just plain wonderful !!
